Cognitive/Behavioral therapy

Cognitive Therapy - Wikipedia

Cognitive therapy is generally only available through a licensed practitioner which can be very time consuming and expensive. Although the help of a professional may be best in some cases, there are numerous self-help books and free online resources for those who want to explore the techniques on their own. Once a person adopts the basic premise that behavior and emotional/cognitive responses to environment can be changed to some degree through cognitive 're-programming' they can find a multitude of methods to accomplish this. We do not provide recommendations on which systems or methods of self-help are the best for any individual.

Meditation

Meditation - Wikipedia

The Abolitionist Society does not endorse any religion or spiritual practice. It is our view that in the future philosophical assumptions about the nature of the universe (religion) will completely cease to be necessary for mental health. Meditation without the excess baggage of religion has been proven to be beneficial for many aspects of one's experience.
